The brothers and sister initiates from the Kathmandu set out for Swayambhu early in the Saturday morning of May 3rd, 2006, on the occassion of Shakyamuni Buddha's birthday. Buddha, who was born in Lumbini, Nepal, as Prince Siddhartha Gautam, got enlightment in Bodhagaya, India, after he forsook his crown for the realization of Truth. Swayambhu, the world heritage site, is the famous meeting place for Buddhist pilgrims from different countries.
